Julie Smith Strategy
With over 20 years of experience in the ad agency world (including stints at TBWA\Chiat Day LA, CP+B LA and Fallon) as well as over 15 years as a moderator, Julie does project-based strategic brand consulting, moderating and workshop facilitation.

Her experience has spanned working on brands both big and established (Southwest, Visa, Audi, Verizon Wireless, Kraft) and small and entrepreneurial (Vive Organic, CurrentC/MCX).

As a brand strategist, Julie helps brands distill insights and identify what their point of view should be. She’s helped to establish brand platforms across multiple categories, which have then been used to direct everything from marketing and communications efforts, to product development and customer experience.

As a moderator, Julie is adept at getting insights from consumer and workshop participants no matter what the question is. She is skilled in moderating in a variety of in-person and online settings, including focus groups, ethnographies and IDIs, and with very different objectives, including target exploratory, brand positioning, communication decks.

Recent clients have included Amazon Web Services (AWS), Hyundai, Facebook, Orvis (dog), eighteen b (skincare), Home Team Sports (media), Vive Organic, Uber, Caterpillar and Verizon.
