Frances Louie describes herself as a first-generation Chinese American. Raised in the suburbs of New York City, she grew up spoiled by Sunday morning dim sum in Chinatown—a passion she hopes to resume as Covid restrictions are lifted.

A ten-year industry veteran, Frances is a Group Copy Supervisor at TBWA\WorldHealth where she specializes in oncology brands. She is the grateful recipient of multiple advertising awards and has been an invited speaker for community and professional groups. Frances was trained at Baylor College of Medicine and received her MFA in creative writing from the California Institute of the Arts.

“Advocating for myself and my community has never been optional,” she says. “It’s an inheritance. I speak for the generations before me, who didn’t have the words, and for the generations to follow so they won’t fear being heard.”
